- Description
- The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm fixed-price construction contract. The work includes construction of the Barkley Dam Site Water Supply Lines which includes demolishing the existing and installing the new vertical section of the 3"" treated water line and the 2"" compressed air line in the powerhouse hoistway (approximately 120 feet). This will include a condensate drain, service outlet, and any valves in the existing system. Replace all vertical hangers (fourteen total). The new water and air line must be installed in the existing blockout in the hoistway at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, Kentucky. Location: The work is located at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, KY. Exact locations for work at Barkley Dam Site are indicated in the contract drawings. DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: �Between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237110 - Water and Sewer Line, and Related Structures Construction; Size Standard $45.0M TYPE OF SET ASIDE: Total Small Business Set-Aside SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or around 28 July 2023. The Solicitation will be posted to both SAM.gov and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Solicitation Module. SITE VISIT DATE: A site visit is tentatively scheduled for 15 August 2023. Potential Offerors are advised that this date is subject to change. Potential Offerors are highly encouraged to submit site visit request forms ahead of time if you are interested in attending the site visit. Each individual will be responsible providing his/her own safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, steel toed safety shoes,�etc.). Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where work is to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance (FAR 52.236-27 Alternate 1, Site Visit (Construction)). SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://sam.gov) and PIEE at the time a bid is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Registration for PIEE is required as this is the only place bids shall be submitted. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on the SAM.gov website, https://sam.gov and PIEE Solicitation Module. It is and will continue to be the responsibility of all potential offerors to monitor the SAM.gov website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers, etc. as the Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING ELECTRONIC BIDS: In an effort to reduce paperwork and cost, all bids shall be submitted electronically via the Solicitation Module of Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) suite, as described below. Submissions shall be in Adobe PDF format. Electronic Bid Submissions is required through the Army�s Electronic File Sharing Service in PIEE (https://piee.eb.mil/).
