- Scope of Contract The Forest Roads 73 and 273 Culvert Replacements Contract work shall include, but is not limited to, excavation, removal of existing culvert, layout and construction of the plate arch, stream simulation, roadway reconstruction, and approach work. Project Schedule Construction will occur in 2024, but it shall be completed by October 31 of the year that construction started. All in-stream work shall be between July 1 and September 30 of the same year. Final project completion shall be no later than October 31, 2024. Project Location FR73�1.55 and FR273-2.8 culverts are located on the Green Mountain National Forest in Woodford, VT in Bennington County. Statement of Work/Specifications The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the State of Work/Specifications referenced. Each culvert replacement has its own Schedule of Items and Drawings. The Contractor shall coordinate all work and scheduling for the replacement of both culverts within the contract period of performance. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Per FAR Subpart 36.204, the anticipated price range of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP-14, and its revisions are included by reference only (see Attachment 3).� Also applicable, but not listed, is any other section or subsection of the included Specification(s) or any specific standard or specification referenced therein.� The requirements contained in these specifications are hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bid and any resulting contract. FP-14 can be downloaded directly from the following website free of charge:��https://highways.dot.gov/federal-lands/specs. Please note, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify they are using the current version. In addition to the specifications referenced above, the Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS) are revisions to the Standard Specifications (FP-14) that incorporate changes and/or additions that are specific requirements unique to this particular project also apply (see Attachment 4).� The applicable Wage Determination is VT20230048 (see Attachment 6). KEY DATES Tentative date for issuing the Invitation for Bid is 07/31/2023. Tentative date for opening bids is 08/31/2023. Project must be completed by 10/31/2024.�� The solicitation and all supporting documents will be posted on this website (SAM.gov) free of charge.
