- Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 6 of 6 Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 5 of 6 REGULATED MEDICAL WASTE, TRACE CHEMOTHERAPY, NON-HAZARDOUS PHARMACEUTICAL, AND PATHOLOGICAL WASTE REMOVAL SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY 1. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Rocky Mountain Network in Glendale, Colorado is seeking sources to provide services for eight (8) VA Medical Centers (VAMC) and approximately seventy-four (74) additional sites of care including Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), Community Living Centers (CLC), Primary Care Tele-Outreach Clinics (PCTOCs) and Healthcare Centers (HCC) located in VISN 19, in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations. This will include any proposed or newly constructed sites that may be included after the award. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, training, and protective equipment to properly pick up and dispose of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) including trace chemotherapy, non-hazardous pharmaceuticals, and pathological wastes with all federal (including VA regulations), state, and local regulations for location(s) across the VISN 19 geographic area. VISN 19 serves an area covering the states of Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, and portions of Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada and North Dakota. The topography includes the Rocky Mountains, arid regions, and areas subject to extreme winter weather. 2. The intended Indefinite-Quantity Indefinite-Delivery (IDIQ) contract period will be for five (5) years: The area/location will be across the VISN 19 geographic area which covers the states of Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, and portions of Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada and North Dakota. 3. The Government is interested in sources that can provide all of the required services. 4. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 562211 Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal ($47 Million size standard). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on Contract Opportunities or GSA. Responses to the sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. 5.
