- Description
- This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of equipment that will produce a High Pressure Air Compressor for servicing United States Air Force equipment. A High Pressure Air Compressor Cart is required to conduct tasks such as: Provide high-pressure air for operating TS-4044 (AIM-9 test set) Refilling all 20MM ammunition loading systems air tanks (UALS, LALS, MAALS). This requirement is for a projected total quantity of 160 units. Responses to this survey will be utilized to capture technological trends and updates to technology developed in the market. This survey is intended to identify manufacturers who have experience with Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) servicing tasks using a High Pressure Air Compressor, and to obtain information on products capable of producing a pneumatic supply for AGE related servicing tasks of one or more types of US Air Force aircraft. An analysis of alternatives may be conducted to determine tradeoffs between various solutions. It is possible acquiring more than one type of High Pressure Air Compressor is in the best interest of the US Air Force. Additionally, responses may be utilized to identify sources for participation in Industry Days to further develop knowledge of this market. Items that perform to characteristics outlined in this survey, and perform additional AGE servicing tasks, will also be considered as potential solutions. Examples of additional AGE servicing tasks are providing power, lighting, or conditioned air. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. As the Government finalizes its requirements, further industry exchangesincluding industry days--may be conducted. Please ensure you follow this posting as the Government will provide all available updates on this effort via this posting.
