- This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Marway Power Systems, Inc. Entity ID UXVTFYJT5PN7, CAGE Code 60955, of 1721 S Grand Ave Santa Ana, California 92705-4808, United States The requirement is for the following custom item: Manufacturer: Marway Power Systems, Inc. Description: Power Distribution Unit (PDU) 120/208VAC 24A Part Number: MPD 411456-001 Quantity: 22 The physical requirements for an acceptable PDU include the following: 19in length, 3.47 (2U) height, 11.5in depth, a 15ft power cord, and horizontal mounting direction. Electrical input requirements include the following: three L6-20R input connections and six 5-20R input connections, 8.64 kW max wattage, average rating of 24A, input voltage of 120/208V, three phase and a frequency rating of 50-60 Hz. The three L6-20R input connections and six 5-20R input connections should be in the following configuration: one L6-20R input, two 5-20R inputs (one on top of the other, vertically), one L6-20R input, two 5-20R inputs (one on top of the other, vertically), one L6-20R input and two 5-20R inputs (one on top of the other, vertically). Further, the PDU should not have a contactor with an expiration date so the PDU will never fail due to age expiry. The PDU also needs a digital read out for amps on each phase in order to avoid overloading the PDU and causing tripping. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Marway Power Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR part 12 Acquisition of Commercial items, applies. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A copy of the Request for Quote will be made available upon request. The applicable NAICS Code is 335311 - Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing and the size standard is 800 employees. Please be advised the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interest parties must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
