SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Solicitation Number:������������������ ���������������� ����������� Notice Type: N42158-23-RC-30891������������������������������������������������ Sources Sought Synopsis: 1.� NOTICE:� This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive, and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government is interested in large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $12.5M, and Product or Service Code, (PSC) of J049 Maintenance and Repair of Equipment � maintenance and Repair shop equipment . The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide a capabilities statement, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. 2.� Program Details: Background: In order to meet destruction of information requirements, Code 1120 Security & Fire established a program which collects burn bags and transports them to a destruction facility for bulk destruction. Code 1120 utilizes two large industrial size disintegrators and various other destruction equipment to completely destroy classified and controlled unclassified information to prevent reconstruction and unauthorized disclosure. Requirement:� Prospective vendors need to demonstrate they are capable of providing a preventative maintenance plan as described in section 2 of the draft Statement of Work (SOW) listed below. � Draft SOW: Objective: This Statement of Work (SOW) describes requirements for contractor provided preventative maintenance plan for a SEM Model 1436 and Model 22 disintegrators.� Scope of Work: Contractor shall provide a preventative maintenance plan which covers 12 months for a SEM Model 1436 and Model 22. Maintenance plan shall include four preventative maintenance service calls a year for both disintegrators. Visit shall include; �Inspecting knives sets to include sharpening, replacing and calibrating. �Inspecting each hopper for ease of opening and closing, excessive wear. Inspecting each screen for proper fit and NSA rated cut size. Inspecting drive belts for wear. Adjusting belt tension to factory specifications. Complete inspection of entire waste evacuation system to include inspecting for leaks, lubricating parts, adjusting air flow, inspecting filters. Inspecting electrical system to ensure proper operation. Two Emergency service call visits. Contractor Responsibilities: Provide the following: Experienced personnel with at least three years knowledge of working with disintegrator destruction systems. Security Requirements:� Each contract personnel shall pass a background check to gain access onto Norfolk Naval ShipyarD Place of Performance/Delivery Location: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709 Period of Performance (PoP)/ Completion Date/ Delivery Date: One Year from date of contract award. Market Survey: Please describe your company�s ability to perform the requested preventative maintenance.� Please state your business size (small or large) based upon the size standard above. If you believe there is a better NAICS or PSC code for this product, please propose the NAICS/PSC codes you would use. Please provide comments on the draft SOW regarding: The work to be performed.
