- Description
- The 15 Maintenance Squadron, Aircraft Structural Maintenance Section Utilizes a Man Lift MLE A80-EX Boom Lift to perform maintenance in a hazardous environment on 9 assigned C-17 aircraft. The annual inspection/ re-certification is required to ensure lift is in safe operating condition for continuous use.�The Man Lift A80EX-1865-1 design is proprietary and the equipment contains controlled parts specific to the make and model of each lift. Only an OEM technician can ensure that there have been no modifications to the equipment (as modification would invalidate the recertification); that all EX related components are still within tolerance; that only certified and traceable service parts are being used; and if specific service requirements are being met.
