- P11 RFQ 36C24623Q1066 SOURCES SOUGHT INSULATION STEAM PIPING AND HVAC DURHAM VAMC DISCLAIMER THIS NOTICE IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFQ OR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFQ. INTRODUCTION: This Request For Quote (RFQ) SOURCES SOUGHT(SS) is issued by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 to assist in determining if a future contract effort can be competitively awarded on a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside basis. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this effort is 561210 with the Small Business Size Standard of $41.5 million. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. REQUIREMENTS: The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can deliver the following services for the Durham VA Medical Center (DVAMC) 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705. PURPOSE: The DVAMC is seeking potential sources capable of providing Insulation Steam Piping and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). We need to insulate piping above the 10th floor ceiling of B-wing in Building 1, above the 5th floor ceiling of Building 15, around air handler 26 in Building 14 and above the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) tower of Building 1 at the Durham Veterans Affairs Health Care System (DVAHCS). PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS): The purpose of this PWS is to request a contractor to provide all the parts and perform all the work. The Contractor shall provide all transportation, materials, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision, quality control, and technical expertise to insulate piping above the 10th floor ceiling B-wing in Building 1, above the 5th floor ceiling in Building 15, around air handler 26 in Building 14 and above the ICU tower in Building 1 as follows: Insulate Building 1 above the 10th Floor ceiling along B wing 6 lines, remove and replace with 2 thick ISO with aluminum finish. Remove and reinsulate 10ft on each line turning down going through the roof of Building 1 above the 10th floor for a total of 6 lines with 2 thick ISO with aluminum finish. In Building 15 above the 5th floor ceiling, insulate exhaust HVAC ductwork and supply grills in rooms 536, 515, and 514 with 3 thick 3/4lb duct wrap with Foil Scrim Kraft (FSK) finish. Insulate steam piping in Building 14 around air handler 26 with 2 thick fiberglass with aluminum finish. In Building 1 insulate return off ICU in 10 rooms with 2 thick 1lb duct wrap. Contractor shall take pictures of before and after repairs and provide copies to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) upon project completion. All work and testing shall be performed according to the attached specifications. SCOPE: The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement to insulate piping above the 10th floor ceiling B-wing in Building 1, above the 5th floor ceiling in Building 15, around air handler 26 in Building 14 and above the ICU tower in Building 1 at the DVAHCS 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705.
