- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 21- is conducting a market research survey to identify potential qualified sources capable of providing BRAND NAME or EQUAL Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Injection (ART700 PEDL) with 150 cm high pressure connector tubing and 150 mL syringe, and to assess the products availability and adequacy. As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Quote (RFQ), to be issued at a later date, and in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. If full and open competition is ultimately pursued, responses to this synopsis will be used to aid in establishing small business subcontracting goals. This notice shall not be construed as a RFQ or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, so quotes will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFQ process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice. Submission Instructions: Responses via email are due NLT 07/21/2023 at 12:00 PST to Shelley.Self2@va.gov and must include the information requested below. Responses greater than 10 double-sided pages (including all attachments) will not be considered. Late responses will not be accepted. This is strictly market research, and the Government will not entertain any questions. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. We appreciate your interest and thank you in advance for responding to the Sources Sought. Qualified firms shall submit a statement of interest on company letterhead demonstrating the firm s qualifications to perform the defined work. Responses must be complete and sufficiently detailed to address the specific information. PLEASE SEE SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS OUTLINED BELOW: Bayer Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Injection System (ART700 PEDL) or Equal 1. General It is a light and maneuverable angiographic injector device with features for the purpose of simplifying the delivery of contrast media used in angiograms to determine the extent of arterial blockage. 2. Warranty Requirements Manufacturer must offer a one-year warranty that product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. All defects will be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer at no cost to the buyer. 3. Distinct Features a. A clearly visible and intuitive user interface guides the users through proper setup. b. The information the users need is highlighted to perform injections confidently. c. The front-load system simplifies setup and makes for a cleaner teardown. a. Easy set up, use, and tear down. b. Quick one-handed tubing attachment with MEDRAD® Twist & Go Disposable Syringe. d. The syringe provides a clear view of the contrast. e. Offers real-time control of the flow rate. f. Smaller base by approx. 20%, lighter injector head by approx. 16%, flexible articulating arm, lighter pedestal unit by approx. 32%, and more maneuverable. g. Offers the ability to control the injection procedure from a distance. h. Automated injections. i. Accessories or equal (must be compatible with the main injection system): a. MEDRAD Mark 7 Arterion Syringe (ART 700 SYR). i. The clear polycarbonate barrel. b. Medrad Twist & Go disposable syringe (TAG 150 SYR). c. MEDRAD Twist & Go High-Pressure Connector Tubing (TAG C150 HPCT). j. Software and sterile hand controller: a. Must be compatible with the main injection system. k. Color touchscreen display: a. Using compatible ISI cables that are to be provided is connected from the GE ALLIA IGS 730/740 WITH AUTORIGHT machine to the injection system. p. Option: (to be verified with end user) a.
