Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is neither a solicitation announcement nor a Request for Quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decision(s) and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. The USDA, ARS, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDCP) has a need for Revio Sequencing Plates (sequencing reagents supporting 4 Revio SMRT Cells), Revio 4 SMRT Cell trays and SMRTbell prep kit 3.0 to be used on a Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) Revio HiFi platform sequencer. These are the only products that will function to generate sequence data for our Revio HiFi sequencing platform. Each company that manufactures an instrument capable of generating sequence data has their own proprietary chemistry, reagents, and kits and only those products can be used to operate the instrument. Therefore, this is the only set of reagents that will allow us to continue to operate our only high-capacity PacBio Revio HiFi sequencing instrument to conduct full-length long-read whole genome analysis of animal samples. All interested parties who can supply the requested Revio HiFi sequencing supplies as described above shall provide an email response to this notice and include the following: Company Name, Address, Point of contact, Phone, Fax, and Email, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned.� Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought.� USDA ARS will not pay for information received in response to the Sources Sought.� Do not submit pricing information in response to the Sources Sought. All responses must be received no later than Thursday, July 27, 2022, by 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Times (EST) local time.
