- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH.� THIS IS NOT A PRESOLICITATION OR SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. After review of the responses to this notice, and if the Government intends to proceed with the acquisition, a separate announcement will be published on the System for Acquisition Management (SAM) website (SAM.gov). Responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / MARKET RESEARCH are not an adequate response to any future solicitation announcements. Please note that this research is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals/quotes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to respond, in writing, to this Sources Sought Notice. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, or small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar work experience (as described below) offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Include in your capabilities package your DUNS, Cage Code, System for Award Management expiration date. Please submit 3 projects completed in the last 5 years that demonstrate your experience in projects of greater than $5 million in contract value that included designing and installing pile supported foundations, structural steel fabrication, concrete slabs (ground level and elevated), assembly of structures including bolted and welded connections, and with retrofitting equipment into existing masonry and/or steel structures. Also, please submit 3 projects in the last 7 years (can be the same projects as previously requested � if additional requirements are met) of greater than $5 million contract value that demonstrate past work experience on pump station systems and backup generator systems.�The projects submitted should demonstrate your knowledge of local and industry design guidelines and parameters including, but not limited to, City of New Orleans/NOSWB Standard Specifications, ASCE-7 (including wind load design), AISC, ACI, and IBC (including the New Orleans Amendment) and knowledge of SWBNO drainage operations. Please also explain how you would complete the following components of this work: �1) the utility and site power tie-in with backup generator systems; �2) generator sizing based on a pump station�s operational needs (including starting of large electrical motors on backup generator); and 3) any needed implementation of controls and protection schemes required by pump station operations and backup generator. For the above listed work, please discuss the work you have performed as the prime contractor and the work items you have subcontracted. For this notice, please describe the work to be performed by the prime and the work items to be performed by subcontractors. IMPORTANT: Submission of your Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. �Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statements that do not meet all requirements or submitted within the allotted time will not be considered. USACE personnel may contact firms responding to this announcement to clarify a responder's capabilities and other matters as part of this market research process. The responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT� shall be emailed to Nakiea Butler at nakiea.b.butler@usace.army.mil no later than 1:00 p.m. Central Time {24 July 2023}.
