Sources Sought Notice GridION Mk1, nanopore based sequencing device, brand name or equal Sources Sought #1106344-SS This is a Sources Sought notice Only.� This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. �This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. �Background: The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Northeast Area (NEA), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) in Wyndmoor, PA requests a high throughput third-generation sequencing device with the capacity for the qualitative detection of foodborne pathogens from various samples. Requirements for a third-generation sequencing device used for foodborne pathogen research are outlined below.� Specifications: Title: GridION Mk1, nanopore based sequencing device, brand name or equal Technical requirements: Device Type: GridION Mk1, nanopore based sequencing device, GRD-MK1, brand name or equal Platform: Must be on same platform (Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Inc.) due to previous established research utilizing this platform and project requirement for use of this platform. Data Processing: Instrument must perform data processing internally/possess its own CPU Library Preparation Time: must not exceed >24 hours for most uses Sequencing Capacity: 4 or more concurrent independent sequencing runs on same platform Sequencing Run Options: Must be able to perform adaptive sampling and depletion Multiplexing (individual runs): Must be able to barcode >6 samples within same run Analysis Options: Real time analysis and post run analysis Size: Benchtop; not to exceed: 30 in diameter x 40 in width x 30 in height Interface: Compatible with laptop interface Read types: Long reads or short reads based on fragment size Sample Types: DNA and RNA originating from but not limited to prokaryotic and eukaryotic samples Equipment Condition: New equipment only, no refurbishments Warranty: At least one year included Additional items required, all brand name or equal: Included in package - 1x Assurance 1x Control Expansion Kit EXP-CTL001 5x Flow Cell Wash Kit EXP-WSH004 60x Flow Cell (R10.4.1) FLO-MIN114 3x Rapid Sequencing Kit V14 SQK-RAD114 7x Rapid Barcoding Kit 24 V14 SQK-RBK114.24 1x Software License & Device warranty - GridION SLW12M-G) Delivery Address: 600 East Mermaid Ln.
