- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA) intends to issue a construction Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the following: Replace four (4) duplex switchboard sections at SWPA�s Water Valley Substation with two (2) duplex switchboard sections. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings. Dispose of the old switchboard sections from Water Valley Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at SWPA�s Jonesboro Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at AECC�s Glencoe Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at Norfork Dam. Replace five (5) duplex switchboard sections at SWPA�s Idalia Substation with three (3) duplex switchboard sections. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings. Dispose of the old switchboard sections from Idalia Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at SWPA�s Sikeston Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at M&A�s Asherville Substation. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at Tupelo substation. Dispose of the old IFC and RTU cabinets. Patch opening in the floor after cabinet removal. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at Van Buren substation. Dispose of the old IFC and RTU cabinets. Patch opening in the floor after cabinet removal. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at Ozark Dam switchyard. Dispose of the old IFC and RTU equipment. Patch opening in the floor after cabinet removal. Perform modifications, add cables and materials as required by the drawings at R.S. Kerr Dam switchyard. Dispose of the old IFC and RTU cabinets. Patch opening in the floor after cabinet removal. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, facilities, materials, and equipment required to complete the project, unless otherwise notified in the specification. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238210 and the small business size standard is $19 million. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the magnitude of this project is currently estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The estimated project completion date is approximately April 2025. Contractor registration in the Government�s System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.sam.gov. The anticipated release date of the solicitation package is early August 2023, with bids being due early September 2023. Once issued, solicitation documents will be available electronically for download at https://www.SAM.GOV. All responsible sources may submit a bid and will be considered by Southwestern.
