Description
SYNOPSIS: This announcement is to assist members of the Parachute Industry Association (PIA) including the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) to notify interested vendors of US Army updates being presented at the 2023 Second Regular Parachute Industry Association (PIA) Meeting, Government Systems Committee (GSC).� Description: During the GSC session of the 2023 Second Regular PIA Meeting, US Army representatives will present updates on personnel and cargo airdrop topics including status of current projects/systems, expected future projects, sustainment and select engineering/technical topics. �Participants are expected from Maneuver Capability Development Integration Directorate (M-CDID) Soldier Requirements Division (SRD) Soldier Systems Branch (SSB), DEVCOM-SC Aerial Delivery Division (ADD), Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM SCIE), TACOM Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) Soldier Product Support Integration Directorate (PSID), and Product Manager Force Sustainment System (PM FSS). Specific Specifications: The GSC is tentatively planned for 1000-1300 ET on 24 August 2023. A draft agenda for US Army updates (a subset of the GSC) including expected organizations, briefers and topic areas are below. In addition to the US Army presentations, there will be a limited opportunity for breakout meetings (upon request) with US Army representatives either in person during or virtually following the conclusion of the 2023 Second Regular PIA Meeting. The Government requests vendors interested in scheduling a breakout meeting contact Brian Huffman at brian.g.huffman3.civ@army.mil by 17 August 2023 5:00PM EST.� Please include a short description of requested subject/agenda for breakout. This Special Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. �It is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. �Further, unsolicited proposals will not be accepted. �Funding is not available at this time. �The United States Army has not made a commitment to procure any of the items/services discussed, and release of this Special Notice Announcement should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. �Response to this Special Notice Announcement is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this and any follow-on information requests. �All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Special Notice Announcement does not preclude participation in any future RFP if any is issued. �If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the beta.SAM.gov website. �It is the responsibility of the potential responders to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this subject.
