NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT PRODUCT SERVICE CODE:� 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies NAICS CODE:� 334510 - Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing 1,250 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:� Dzilth-NA-O-Dith-Hle Health Center, 6 Road 7586, Bloomfield, NM 87413 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition will sole source the Radiology Equipment to Alko Enterprises, Inc.� The location is at the Dzilth-NA-O-Dith-Hle Health Center, 6 Road 7586, Bloomfield, NM 87413, which is considered a rural area. The Government�s requirement will only accept authorized resellers of GE and GE-OEC based on the following:� (1) Uniform Operating Procedures & Centralized Support Services:� Uniform operating procedures and centralized support services to ensure equipment is operational with minimal maintenance cost and ensuring that the equipment is operational for optimal patient care.� Uniform procedures eliminate additional cost to train staff on numerous brands of equipment at the five service units located throughout the Navajo Nation, a 27,400 square mile area.� There is compatibility between existing systems at all five service units to maintain a small bench stock for repair parts;� (2) Operating System:� GE equipment is compatible with the current Linux operating system environment currently operational at all service units;� and (3) GE Support Capability:� In the event that service units are not able to repair the equipment, GE engineers can provide specialized support within an hour even in the remote locations of our service units. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing 1,250. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS.� A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
