- Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source contract to Souriau, 1000 North Main Street, Mansfield, TX, 76063 for electrical connector covers, part number 850010D, quantity 190, as a requirement as part of a design change to a military ground combat vehicle. This design change requires that an existing vehicle power cable, that cannot be removed, be capped for safety purposes. The existing power cable is a customized, unique cable built by the vehicle manufacturer with unique specifications, to include size and thread count, not produced by any other manufacturers. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106(b)(1). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies and incidental services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
