Description

The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office intends to award an order on the N00019-21-G-0005 Basic Order Agreement (BOA) on a sole source basis to Raytheon Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT. This action is to perform a Tailcone study on the F135 engine. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Raytheon Technologies Corporation, Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, is the original designer,�and manufacturer of the F135 propulsion system. The BOA Order award is anticipated in the 3rd quarter of FY23 and supports the F-35 Joint Program Office U.S. Services, Non-U.S. Cooperative Program Partners, and Foreign Military Sales customers. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to process this procurement action on a sole source basis.
