Description

The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, single-source contract to BD Diagnostic System., Sparks, Maryland, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The proposed contract action is for the acquisition of regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for a BACTEC FX Microbiology Analyzer located at the 673 Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, Alaska. The 673 Medical Group requires a maintenance and service agreement that provides all personnel, equipment, tools, testing equipment, transportation, parts, materials, supervision and any other items necessary to perform preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for the BACTEC FX Microbiology Analyzer, serial number 022835. Additional requirements are to provide technical support staff on 24 hour/7 days a week basis for the analyzer. Period of Performance Base Year: 10 September 2023 � 09 September 2024 Option Year 1: 10 September 2024 - 09 September 2025 Option Year 2: 10 September 2025 - 09 September 2026 Option Year 3: 10 September 2026 - 09 September 2027 Option Year 4: 10 September 2027 - 09 September 2028 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this simplified acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The circumstances of this contract action deem one single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations, who believe they can meet the requirement, may submit their capability statements to perform the requirement in writing to john.gosh@us.af.mil and george.strand@us.af.mil no later than 2:00 PM, AKDT, Friday, 09 August 2023. �The interested organizations must specify their ability to provide unlimited access to technical support staff on 24 hour/7 days a week basis (Performance Work Statement (PWS) Section 5.2.3.) A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
