- This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is for informational and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interested Industrial Launderers. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia-Pacific Northwest Region, is conducting market research for a for a future procurement to procure uniform rental services for fire resistant clothing for approximately 145 employees. Reclamation intends to award one firm-fixed price order. The order will be for one-year base period, and four one-year option periods. This service will include the initial fittings, weekly pick-up and drop-off of clothing, laundry service, minor repairs and replacement of damage clothing items. Clothing and laundry service must meet all applicable standards for Fire Resistant Clothing. Clothing items will consist of pants, shirts, sweatshirts, overalls, coveralls, jackets, parkas and lab jackets. All clothing items must meet the following standards: -NFPA 70E (Hazard Risk Category Number 2 Protection and be rated at a minimum of 8.0 cal/cm2) (National Fire Protection Association Safety Standards for Electrical Employees) -ASTM F 1506-22 (Standard Specifications for Flame Resistant Textile Materials for Wearing Apparel for Use by Electrical Workers Exposed to Momentary Electric Arc and Related Thermal Hazards) -EN ISO 11612:2015 Grade C at a minimum -EN ISO 13688:2013 -EN IEC 61482-2:2020 -Arc Thermal Value of 8.0 cal/cm2 at a minimum The NAICS code is 812332, Industrial Launderers with a Small Business Size Standard of $47.0 million. Potential offerors having the capabilities necessary to meet the needs of this requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement. The capability statement shall include the following: 1. Company name and point of contact information 2. Unique Entity Identifier 3. Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, etc) 4. Description of capability to perform laundry services 5. Past performance/experience on contracts of similar scope and size Note: If submitting past performance/experience on a project in the role of a subcontractor, include the primary contractors name and quantifiable amount(percentage) of the project your company contributed to the overall scope of work. Interested parties can email their capabilities statements and relevant history to Don Richer at dricher@usbr.gov. Responses are due no later than Thursday, August 10, 2023, 5 PM EST. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought notice or any follow-up information requests.
