Description

The 27 Special Operations Contracting Squadron hereby gives notice of their intent to award an 8(a) sole source direct award that includes a brand name order from the manufacturer HydroWorx International, Inc., 1420 Stoneridge Dr Ste C, Middletown, PA 17057 (Cage Code: 4WHB5). This will be done on a sole source basis in accordance with the FAR 6.302-1, only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The 26 STS requirement is for one each of the Polar and Thermal Plunge Pools, 7�6""x7�6"" in dimension, manufactured by HydroWorx. �The specifications of these pools were provided in an RFP (W912PP17R0006) issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for a new building construction project on Cannon AFB, that the 26 STS now occupies. The Basis of Design for the therapy pool room of the building were specific to the HydroWorx plunge pool products. Specific electrical breakers, piping and drainage were required and the HVAC system was designed to accommodate the heat load put off by the specific HydroWorx Plunge Pools and their equipment, as such no other manufacturer�s equipment can be accommodated. The resultant contract of the USACE RFP is W912PP19C0001. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responses received within four�calendar days from this Notice of Intent will be reviewed and the information considered.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
