Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Quantum Electromagnetics Division, Quantum Sensors Group (QSG) intends to negotiate with HiTech Global Distribution, LLC (Cage: 3V6C9), located in San Jose, CA, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106(b), soliciting from a single source, to purchase a Radio Frequency System on a Chip (RFSoC) Development Platform. The QSG requires electronics for the readout and operation of large arrays of millimeter-wave and far-infrared detectors under development at NIST. The electronics must be able to generate, convert to analog, receive and digitize, and process hundreds of sinusoidal tones at frequencies ranging from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. The NAICS Code is 334413, Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing, with a small business standard of 1,250 employees. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to HiTech Global Distribution, LLC for this requirement. Interested parties that can demonstrate they could satisfy the requirement listed above for NIST must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used, it is estimated that an award will be issued by August 31, 2023.
