Description
The scope of this requirement includes the contractor working with the NDSP to provide training and education support services to increase Dam Safety Awareness amongst State Dam Safety Programs and other NDSP stakeholders and partners. This includes web based trainings, classroom trainings, self-paced trainings, conferences, listening sessions, data collection and any other associated functions. Performance of Objectives 1. Data Collection - Contractor shall provide data collection with surveys and listening sessions support. Minutes, summary reports shall be provided within 1 month of the sessions. 2. Trainings - Contractor shall provide the following types of trainings regarding Dam Safety topics: a. Webinars i. Contractor will provide unlimited access for State Dam Safety Officials to utilize live and on-demand Web-Based Training Program webinars at no cost to the State Dam Safety Programs during the period(s) of performance. b. Self-paced training i. Contractor will host the self-paced courses on its web-based platform and will provide outreach support to users as needed when they have questions. c. Classroom Training i. Over the course of each 1-year period the contractor will provide 8 classroom courses with each course offered once virtually and once at an on-site venue throughout duration of the contract. d. Annual National Conference/Workshop i. Become the sponsor of a post-conference state focused workshop at an annual meeting of national and state dam safety officials. FEMA would work with the conference host each year to identify a workshop, prior to May 1. 3. Lessons Learned from Dam Failures and Incidents Training � The Contractor shall create, update, and maintain a lesson learned repository by adding a combined total of 10 lessons learned studies and specific case studies during the period(s) of performance. 4. Lessons Learned from Dam Failures and Incidents Training, History Book - Contractor shall publish a coffee-table style hardcopy book that summarizes lessons learned from over 100 significant dam failures in the US by the end of OY1. Public Awareness Initiatives � Contractor shall put together a public relations campaign about dam safety working with FEMA to choose suitable topics. 6. Educational Fact Sheets � Contractor shall provide educational fact sheets that focus on dam safety.
