- Description
- The Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid for�one (1) crawler crane for use on a newly constructed barge servicing the Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District.� The crane shall be capable of performing lock gate placement, and debris and rock removal/placement. The new crawler crane shall be built in accordance with the minimum standards of ASME B 30.5 � Mobile and Locomotive Cranes and ASME/ANSI B30.8 - Floating Cranes and Floating Derricks and ASME B30.23 � Personnel Lifting The crawler crane shall have the following characteristics: Crawler Crane Main Boom Length �� 140-145 feet All operations to be performed with a single counterweight configuration Heavy Lift 93,000 lbs at 60 ft radius with 3 degree machine list Hook speed � 60 ft per minute Duty Cycle 50,000 lbs at 100 ft radius 3 degree machine list Hook speed � 60 ft per minute The following attachments shall be provided: 6 cubic yard rip-rap rock scoop 6 cubic yard extra heavy-duty clamshell bucket 6 cubic yard dredge bucket 6 cubic yard rip-rap grapple with 7 tines Auxiliary Lift � 20,000 lbs at all radii using boom aux tip extension Personnel Lift � 10,000 lbs working load �at all radii Powered Tagline Bid bond and payment and performance bond will be required. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be available on or about August 16th, 2023. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors may download the solicitation (including drawings) and any amendments via the hyperlink to the SAM.gov website, www.sam.gov, on (or after) the issue date. The offical media of distribution is the web. All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the SAM.gov website. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are reesponsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Bids will be due on or about September 15th. NAICS code is 336611 - Ship Building and Repair. All contractors are required to be registered n the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Information on getting registered may be obtained by accessing the SAM website at www.sam.gov. Instructions will be included in the solicitation. Also, all Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Business or Veteran Owned Small Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/.
