Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE, THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT in regard to market capabilities for interested businesses (Small Business, WOSB, HUBZone, etc.; please let us know your socioeconomic status) who are interested in the opportunity and willing to provide an estimate. The Government intends to Award a Firm Fixed Price FFP order using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures. Supply Needed: Drum Major Mace (Quantity: 2) and Drum Major Baldric (Quantity: 3)� Drum Major Mace Salient Characteristics: Brass: head, steel spun in two sections and polished. The bold bead section including the title UNITED STATES MARINE DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS in raised lettering. The twenty-four raised scrolls, each cast in brass, silver plated, each deep engraved with officially approved Campaign accreditation, each individually fitted to the dome section of the head. The US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps side badge and a replication of the Iwo Jima Memorial, modelled in 3-dimensional form created form computer aided graphics (CAD) and casted in brass, fitted on the lower section of the head. The head is topped with the United States Marine Corps badge in 3-dimensional form, cast in brass, finished in gold and silver plate, fitted horizontally on the dome section. The whole is fitted to best quality real Malacca cane, with a handmade collar, ferrule, and plaited chain. Collar to be deep engraved with the motto THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE MARINES. All to be done in heavy gold plate 2.5 microns. Drum Major Baldric Salient Characteristics: The baldric should be designed to fit over the head, on the left shoulder and across the chest. The baldric will be secured with a Velcro strip placed directly in the fold of the baldric. Not on the top side of the front, reference images. The baldric shall include an ID card pocket on the interior front panel measuring 3.5� x 3.5�. Base fabric: superfine 100% wool, 17 oz/yd 2, color navy Leather Backing and Pocket: will be 2.5 oz/yd 2, drum dyed, vegetable tanned, top or full grain cowhide leather, color crimson. Interlining: cloth, cotton, buckram, type IV of A-A-50186 Hand Embroidery: gold bullion zari hand embroidery Edge lace: lace, gold, ornamental, conforming to class 3 of MIL-20271 Other required textiles include black felt. Battle honors will be hand embroidered on the baldric. PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENTS FOR IMAGES
