Sources Sought Template: (1) Action Code�:���� SOURCES SOUGHT This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for proposal, but a survey to locate potential sources.� This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Proposed equipment supports complex fabrication, machining activities that directly impacts ARL mission.� (8) Proposed Solicitation Number:� W911QX23Q0164 (9) Sources Sought Closing Response Date: 09 August 2023 (10) Contact Point: Douglas Dennard, Contract Specialist, douglas.c.dennard.civ@army.mil (11) A. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. The Contractor shall provide one (1) Press Brake in accordance with the following specifications: System shall be a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) multi-axis synchro press brake. Shall contain FastBEND Multi-Touch (MT) Premium touch functions. Shall contain offline PartManager 3-Dimensional (3D) software to process 3D products. System shall allow the Y1 and Y2 axes to operate as an independent double acting hydraulic system. System shall result in upper beam speeds of 200 millimeters/second (mm/s) Fast Approach and 125 mm/s Return Speeds on 1500 and 200 kilonewton (kN) models. System shall result in back gauge (GA) speeds up to 1000 mm/s. System shall have a stroke height of 6 inches. System shall have a maximum load weight of 230 pounds. System shall have a stroke X-axis of 40 inches with a speed of 39.3 inches per stroke. System shall have a stroke R-axis of 5.1 inches with a speed of 9.8 inches per stroke. System shall have a stroke Z1 and Z2 axes with a speed of 39.3 inches per stroke. System shall have a capacity of 275 US Short Tons. Shall have a distance of 102� between side frames. Shall have a working length of 122 inches. Shall have a standard gap of 15.75� Shall have a stroke of 10.6 inches. Shall have a table height of 35 inches. Shall have a fast approach speed of 307 inches per minute. Shall have a max working speed of 18.9 inches per minute. Shall have a fast return speed of 213 inches per minute. System shall have a 25 horse power motor. System shall be a total of 167 inches in length. System shall be a total of 80 inches in width. System shall be a total of 115 inches in height. System shall have a voltage requirement of 480 Volts. System shall have a frequency of 60 Hertz. System shall conform to American National Standard Institute (ANSI) B11.3 � for machine tools. System shall have service tools included. Shall contain tooling for the following 18GA through 14GA 10GA through 13GA 1/4 inch through 9GA 3/8 inch through 5/16 inch 1/2 inch System shall have a pan forming punch. Shall contain one (1) safety operator and service manual. Shall include hydraulic oil. Shall include one-year warranty on parts and labor including set up and operational instructions. Shall include factory tech set up and training. Shall include freight and rigging Delivery to 6375 Johnson Road, building 321, Aberdeen Proving Ground 21005 no later than 16-18 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO). C.
