Description

This Notice of Intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) on behalf of the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) and in collaboration with the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).� NIOSH/NIDCD requires support with the audiometric and balance components of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).� To help support the collaboration with NIDCD, NIOSH has contracted many highly technical support professionals with experience in large-scale epidemiologic field surveys, expertise in automated audiometric testing software (particularly on National Instruments hardware platforms), knowledge of current audiometric calibration standards and equipment, and strong data analysis skills.� The intended recipient of this purchase order is: Stephenson and Stephenson Research and Consulting, Inc. (SASRAC) located at 5706 State Route 132, Batavia, OH 45103-9753. The staff at Stephenson and Stephenson Research and Consulting, Inc. (SASRAC) have prior unique experience with epidemiologic field surveys � both in data collection and data analysis.� SASRAC audiologists have worked extensively with National Instruments hardware and helped develop the audiometric testing systems used for hearing testing in NHANES 2017 and beyond. This order is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by August 9, 2023 by 11:00AM EDT will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
