RFQ 36C24223Q1045 Amendment 0001 Questions received from potential quoters, as well as answers provided Question 1: On the 11 FTE s including weekend coverage, is the requirement for the full complement of FTE s plus supervisor on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays, or can we have smaller crew?  Answer: The facility would like 11 full time equivalent (FTE) including 1 supervisor on weekdays and a minimum of 6 FTEs including 1 supervisor on weekends and holidays. Question 2: Is there a scheduled site visit? Answer: No Question 3: How many square feet is the cleaning area?  Answer: Manhattan Campus approximate square footage is 818,247. (PWS section 1.5) Question 4: Does a union have jurisdiction over the building? Answer: We don t believe there is a union associated to janitorial staff for this requirement. Question 5: Is this solicitation a new requirement? Answer: Yes Question 6: Could the government please clarify if the contractor will be required to supply cleaning equipment to include but not limited to (hepa filter vacuum cleaners, extractors, buffers, walk behind scrubbers/high speeds, etc.)? Answer: Yes, the contractor will supply the equipment and the cleaning supplies will be supplied by the government. (See section 1.4: Description of Services and Section 2: Government Furnished Property, Equipment, and Services) Question 7: Will there be an opportunity to continue services beyond the four-month base period and two, one month option periods? Answer: The government does not anticipate this going past the timeline noted in the solicitation. Corrections to Performance Work Statement Original: 1.6 Work Schedule: Contractor shall provide 11 full time equivalent (FTE) including 1 supervisor. The contractor shall maintain a supervisor on site from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, 7 days per week, and phone availability 24/7. Working hours are scheduled from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, 7 days per week. However, contractor is free to arrive after normal working hours to perform tasks requiring less foot traffic such as deep cleaning, carpet maintenance and floor care. Prior to commencing performance under this contract, the Contractor shall provide a proposed work scheduled to the Point of Contact (POC) on site describing how services will be accomplished. All work shall be coordinated with the POC or designated representative when accomplished during normal business hours to avoid disruptions or conflicts between the Government functions and the provision of service under this contract. The facility POC will communicate with the designated Contracting Officer Representative (COR) services and completion of those services to validate work was accomplished as required. Change to: Section 2:  Government Furnished Property, Equipment, and Services The government will furnish cleaning supplies (chemicals, PPE, mops, and SDS), but will not provide equipment. The contractor must provide cleaning equipment to include but not limited to (hepa filter vacuum cleaners, extractors, buffers, walk behind scrubbers/high speeds, etc.).
