- Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, located at 4811 Airport Plaza Drive, Long Beach, CA is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Delivery Order under FAR Part 8, specifically FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B), Only One Available Source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325412, Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6505, Drugs and Biologicals. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 1,300 Employees. The intended contractor is Advanced Accelerator Applications USA, Inc. Place of Performance is the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073 for the anticipated period of performance starting 10/1/2023 until 9/30/2024. VA Greater Los Angeles Nuclear Medicine intends to purchase Pluvicto in quantities listed below: NDC# Description Quantity UOM 69488-0010-61 PLUVICTO :: LUTETIUM LU 177 VIPIVOTIDE TETRA 27mCi/ML 152 EA VA Greater Los Angeles Nuclear Medicine requires Pluvicto to treat advance prostate cancer patients. This mandatory contract for Pluvicto was awarded to Advanced Accelerator Applications USA, Inc. on 6/4/2019 under contract 36F79719D0169. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and compelling evidence that the responding company can provide the same items/services, and that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent.
