Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has a construction requirement at its National Center for Applied Plant Protection in Laurel, Maryland.� NCAPP safeguards agricultural resources from the risks associated with the entry, establishment, or spread of exotic plant diseases introduced into the United States. �The requirement is to install a new effluent decontamination system, which treats the hazardous waste NCAPP produces.� Several key components on the existing system are either deteriorating or inoperable, so work includes cleaning, removing, and disposing of it.� Most of the work is mechanical, with incidental electrical work. The NAICS code is 238220, with a small business size standard of $19 million, and the estimated magnitude of the project is between $1 million and $5 million.� The project will be set aside for certified HUBZone businesses only. It is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor this site for the solicitation and amendments, if any.
