Description
This combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This synopsis/solicitation is being advertised as Small Business Set-Aside only. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no separate written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is 37140PR230000055 Applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) codes are: 326150 Urethane and Other Foam Product (Except Polystyrene) Manufacturing This requirement is for a fixed price contract. The contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR part 13 and part 15. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, Best Value. When submitting your proposals, request a price breakdown of the following: a. Cost of labor and supervision b. Cost of materials and equipment needed to perform the work. Prospective contractors shall also provide along with your proposal past performance documents which will be used to determine expertise to perform such work. Contract will be awarded to the vendor who can perform the work outlined in the provided SOW in the time frame needed by unit. Past Performance and Cost factors will also be used when selecting the award. Project Identification: Provide quantity 10, 5 feet diameter x 8 feet long marine grade foam filled fenders with stainless steel chain and accessories. Deliver the fenders and associated hardware to the project location below. DELIVERY ADDRESS OF FENDERS: US Coast Guard Sector Key West, 100 Trumbo Road, Key West, Florida 33040. ATTENTION: MKC JUAN RIVERA 1.2 SCOPE OF WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The work of project is defined by this contract document and consists of the following: 1. In general, the project consists of manufacture and delivery of the products listed below. All materials shall be of sufficient grade for marine applications meeting all applicable Florida Department of Environmental Prevention standards for the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary. a. 5 feet x 8 feet long foam filled fenders, standard capacity for marine applications. Each fender shall have stainless steel internal core and internal chain. Quantity: 10. b. For each fender provide four 10 feet long 1 inch stainless steel chains. c. For each fender, provide six 1 inch stainless steel BTA shackles. 2. Contractor is required to ensure delivery of all materials in such a fashion that a 8 thousand pound forklift can safely retrieve fenders from the truck. If this is not possible. Contact the personnel listed in section 1.5 at least 7 days prior to delivery via email for coordination. 3. Products shall be visually inspected and found acceptable by government employee(s) on delivery. 1.4 WORK BY GOVERNMENT A. General: The Government will assist upon delivery to unload the delivery truck of fenders and accessories. 1.5 ACCESS TO SITE A. General: The Coast Guard property is located on a Naval Base which requires base access. Ensure DBIDS Company Enrollment Form (Enclosure (1)) is fully populated and provided to the government at least 7 days prior to delivery. Access hours for deliveries is Monday to Friday from 0700 EST to 1600 EST.
