- 1 The Department of Veteran Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO1) located at 163 Veterans Drive, White River Junction, VT intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Hartford VT Fire Dept for the following requirement: Statement of Work: Fire Alarm Monitoring Service Place of Performance: 163 Veterans Drive White River Junction, VT 05001 802-295-9363 Period of Performance: Base + 4 Option Years (Options Years will be exercised at the Governments discretion) Scope of Work The Hartford Fire Dept shall provide 24 hrs. 7 days a week 365 days a year monitoring service of the WRJ fire panels. The Hartford Fire Dept shall respond to all fire alarm activations in a prompt manner. The Hartford Fire Dept shall continue to provide the WRJ VA access to their computer network. Hartford Fire Dept will be awarded this procurement because these services and products are proprietary to Hartford Fire Dept. Hartford Fire Department (HFD) currently owns the fire panel monitoring equipment that is compatible and linked to the VA WRJ's radio boxes. HFD is also the primary emergency response agency for VA WRJ. . The NAICS code for this requirement is 561990 with small business size standard of $16.5 Million. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by Monday, August 14, 2023 at 5:00 PM EST time. Responses should be sent to Kenya Mitchell at Kenya.Mitchell1@va.gov. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
