- Description: This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The contracting office for this notice is the 10th Contracting Squadron, USAF Academy, CO 80840. The US Air Force Academy (USAFA) intends to issue a single source commercial contract using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR part 13.106-1(b) (1)(i) to ImmerseMe Limited. Market research has determined that ImmerseMe Limited is the single provider that offers an Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality (AI/VR) language learning software licenses for an existing interactive, web-based foreign language program already in place as part of the department's foreign language education programs. USAFA has a requirement for 1100 ea �x (AI/VR) language learning software licenses, compatible with the existing ImmerseMe language learning software, 12 Month Academic Subscription 2023-24 (1-year commitment) Salient Characteristics: - Compatible with the current ImmerseMe, Immersive Language Software - AI/VR language learning software incorporated to the existing software in use - Be web-based - Be interactive - Have content modules that align well with the USAFA foreign language curriculum - Be available in the following 8 languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish)� - Be affordable - Allow access for the entire academic year Aug 2023 � Jul 2024 - 1,100 licenses; based on the cadet enrollment for all freshman plus select sophomore, junior, and senior selections. Background: This requirement is anticipated to be used in all freshman plus select sophomore, junior, and senior selections in the department's foreign language education program. The purpose of this program is to help cadets practice speaking the target language outside the classroom. In addition to requirements based on the required salient characteristics above, it is critical that the software is compatible in form and function with the extensive course curriculum and instructions currently in use. This ensures a consistent experience for cadets and supports the essential instruction of foreign language principles for approximately 1100 cadets annually.� Finally, an intuitive, familiar user interface is an essential aspect of this software as it is intended to be used as part of the USAFA core curriculum taken by every USAFA Cadet. This Notice of Intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required supplies/services within (3) days of this publication. �A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
