- Description
- The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to perform Biomedical Waste Removal in support of Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations (AFMAO) as set forth in this performance work statement (PWS). Specific Functions: Packaging, documentation, pick-up, transportation and destruction of medical wastes generated by Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, according to all standards required by local, state and federal guidelines. Packaging must conform to local, state and federal guidelines and will be accomplished by mortuary staff. Amendment 1 Posted to add to the CLIN Structure Amendment 2 Posted to answer questions and extend the solicitation date Amendment 3 Establish quotes must be valid through 1 Oct 2023 Amendment 4�Updated Attachment 1 � Performance Work Statement (PWS) to allow for non-witness burn pickups to be conducted as a part of a route. The latest wage determination was incorporated. The Q&A document was revised to reflect the PWS. The quote deadline is extended until 08 August 2023 NLT 1:00 P.M. EDT. Amendment 5:�PWS Edit 1.1.3: �Destruction of materials will be by incineration at a medical waste incinerator or autoclaved first, then burned at a waste-to-energy incineration site and accomplished only at an approved disposal unit as required by all local, state and federal guidelines.� Amendment 6: Time Extension until 10 August 2023 NLT 3:00 P.M. EDT. The solicitation and subsequent award for this acquisition contains the clause at FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. This option to extend the contract term is evaluated as part of the initial evaluation, so that any resultant exercise of this option is within scope of the pending contract. The inclusion of this clause provides up to six (6) months of continued performance when it is in the Government�s best interest to continue performance after the end of the current contract performance period. If conditions warrant the exercise of this option, the price(s) for the continued performance under this clause shall be at the same price(s) as the prior performance period.
