- Notice of Intent to Sole Source Special Notice: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for the construction of a new 908th Operating Group AFRC Administrative Facility at Maxwell AFB Montgomery, AL. As part of the construction contract solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements: Locks - MAFB uses Best Lock cores on its buildings basewide. Best Coremax is the only manufacturer whose product can satisfy the Civil Engineer Squadron�s requirement to provide keys and cores that are consistent across the AFB and provide the necessary level of security. The current approved system of BEST Coremax cores, keys, and locksets have been fully tested and verified to provide fully meet the requirements of UFC 3-600-01 and UFC 4-21-01. Roofing System- MAFB uses Decra Roofing Systems on its buildings base wide. In order to maintain consistency among the exterior finishes of buildings on MAFB to meet the base standards, this roofing is required. Electric Meter - Cooperative Utility Services (CUS) is the privatized utility company for Maxwell Air Force Base (MAFB) in Alabama, and controls primary electric power distribution power at Maxwell AFB. Materials and services only include installation of primary feeds to a CUS-selected, furnished and installed electrical transformer that must be ordered from CUS as the installation power provider. HVAC Controls System - Use of Trane systems, which are primarily comprised of proprietary software developed by Trane Inc., is necessary to maintain integrity of HVAC control systems to which the new system will be linked. The equipment installed must be compatible with the existing Trane system. Fire Monitoring System - Use of Monaco systems, which are primarily comprised of proprietary software developed by MEI and MEI licensed vendors as noted above, is necessary to maintain integrity with the base�wide fire alarm system. Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) - Basis of Design - The manufactures were used for the Government's basis of design, but equal products can be used. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 1:00 PM Eastern Time on 16 August 2023 to Levi.R.Speth@usace.army.miI THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
