- SUMMARY� This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) notice for planning purposes only.� This RFI is issued for determining potential technologies and capabilities to consider for the future of the Navy from industry and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services identified in response to this notice. �No solicitation documents exist at this time. �Participation in this RFI is neither mandatory nor is it requisite to future participation by a contractor in any potential future solicitations/contracts.� The Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)) is planning to host an Industry Event in order to provide opportunities for industry to learn about the technology needs of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PEO(U&W) and the Navy�s Unmanned Community with the potential for follow-on briefings regarding technologies that industry has developed. � INDUSTRY EVENT SPECIFICS� PEO(U&W)�s Industry Event 2023 will take place on 26, 27 & 28 September 2023.� This Industry Event will consist of the following:� DAY ONE of the event will be held at the SECRET level and will be in-person only in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.� DAY TWO & DAY THREE of the event will be UNCLASSIFIED, open to the public who have registered in advance to attend and will be both in-person in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland as well as virtual via live-streaming. �DAY THREE of the event will be a follow-on to the Navy Unmanned Industry Event held on 1-3 March 2023 and will constitute the second Department of the Navy (DoN) Industry Outreach Event required by the FY23 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA FY23).� DAY ONE: �26 September 2023 (SECRET) �DAY ONE� of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will consist of SECRET briefings and one SECRET/NOFORN briefing with three main focus areas:� 1. �The Threat�; 2. �The Fight Tonight�; and 3. �The Fight Tomorrow & How Industry Can Help.�� This opportunity is open to military, government and industry U.S. Citizens with a final SECRET clearance.� Only contractors or sub-contractors performing a current DoD or Federal Intelligence Community contract with a current DD254 will be allowed to attend.� A current DD254 authorizing access to national intelligence information will be required to attend the Threat Brief. The location for DAY ONE will be in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.� The exact location of the DAY ONE event will only be disclosed to individuals once clearance is verified, need-to-know confirmed and registration completed.� In order to participate in this Industry Day Event, please follow the registration guidelines listed below. DAY TWO: 27 September 2023 (UNCLASSIFIED) �DAY TWO� of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will consist of both in-person and live-streamed UNCLASSIFIED briefings and is open to the public who have registered in advance to attend.� DAY TWO�s focus areas will include:� 1. a PEO(U&W) Portfolio Review of Strike Weapons, Targets & Mission Planning, followed by a panel discussion/Question & Answer (Q&A); 2. �Rapid Capability Insertion� which will include presentations on upcoming exercises and events and how Industry can participate as well as Capability Briefs from the Naval Air Warfare Centers (NAWC) � both the Aircraft Division (AD) and Weapons Division (WD), the Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) followed by a panel discussion/Q&A; and 3. presentations on Supporting Small Business.� Additional presentations and live panel Q&A may also occur.� Questions may be submitted in advance or real-time during this event.� Details on how to submit questions in advance or real-time during this live session will be provided once registration is confirmed.� Full details including the times and location of the event along with a complete PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 agenda for DAY TWO will be available via the registration website.� DAY THREE: 28 September 2023 (UNCLASSIFIED) �DAY THREE� of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will constitute the second DoN Industry Outreach Event required by the NDAA FY23.� DAY THREE will consist of both in-person and live-streamed UNCLASSIFIED briefings and is open to the public who have registered in advance to attend.� DAY THREE�s focus areas will include a PEO(U&W) Portfolio Review of Unmanned Aviation and Mission Planning and presentations on aviation, surface and subsurface unmanned systems, and Autonomy & Artificial Intelligence.� Questions may be submitted in advance or real-time during this event.� Details on how to submit questions in advance or real-time during this live session will be provided once registration is confirmed. Full details including the times and location of the event along with a complete PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 agenda for DAY THREE will be available via the registration website.� REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO ATTEND IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY Due to space limitations, please limit in-person Industry attendance for each day to no more than two representatives per company.� There is no limit to the number of virtual attendees for Day Two or Day Three.� Registration for in-person attendance will be based on a first come, first served basis and will close when full.� General questions regarding the registration process for the overall PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 should be directed to �Event Coordinator� at peo_uw_industry_.fct@navy.mil.� Please put the words �Industry Event 2023� in the subject line plus any amplifying information regarding the question.� Specific questions regarding verification of clearances should follow the instructions below. STEP ONE:�� Send clearance information via a visit request through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to Security Management Office (SMO) Code: �N004214�.� In the �Visit Name� put �UW 2023 Industry Event,� in the ��Reason,� put �Seminar� and in the �Point of Contact� blocks put Amy Haskins, PEO(U&W) Security Specialist, (301) 757-2481, NIPRnet: amy.c.haskins3.civ@us.navy.mil� (NOTE:� MILITARY AND GOVERNMENT CIVILIANS ATTACHED TO NAVAIR OR NAWCAD AT NAS PATUXENT RIVER, MARYLAND CAN SKIP STEP ONE AND SIMPLY SEND THE E-MAIL IN STEP TWO) STEP TWO:� After clearance has been sent via DISS, please send an email addressed to NAVAIR Security at NAVAIR_PAXR_PEOUW_Security_Group@us.navy.mil with �UW 2023 Industry Event� in the subject line to verify receipt. � FOR CONTRACTORS AND SUB-CONTRACTORS:� A copy of your current DD254 must be attached to the e-mail unless the DD254 was issued from NAVAIR (UIC 00019) or NAWCAD (UIC 00421) in which case, simply reference the contract number associated with the DD254.� In addition, because SECRET/NOFORN intelligence information will be discussed in the Threat Brief at the event, the DD254 must have block 10.e(1) and/or 10.e(2) marked for any attendees who wish to attend the SECRET/NOFORN Threat Brief.� Those attendees that do not have block 10.e(1) and/or 10.e(2) checked on the DD254 will not be allowed to attend the SECRET/NOFORN Threat Brief but may attend other SECRET briefs during DAY ONE.� Need to know will be verified via the DD254. STEP THREE:� Wait for a confirmation e-mail that you are completely registered and that your clearance and need-to-know has been verified.� It may take several days to receive this confirmation. NOTES:� Those attending any part of DAY ONE of the PEO(U&W) Industry Day Event 2023 will be required to submit all registration AND security verification material no later than 2000 Zulu (1600 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)) 18 September 2023.� No late registrations for DAY ONE will be accepted.� Location and times for the event will be provided to registered and verified cleared personnel with a need-to-know following verification and completed registration.� You are NOT registered for DAY ONE of this event until you are registered via the Eventbrite website AND your clearance has been received and verified as valid and need-to-know confirmed.� Website registration alone will NOT constitute registration for the classified portion of this event. GENERAL INFORMATION Participation in this event and any discussions/release of information is strictly voluntary.� The Government will not pay for any information provided or costs associated with travel.� Responses to this RFI will not be returned.� The Government is only seeking possible sources and potential capabilities for informational purposes. �No reimbursement will be made to respondents for any costs incurred in developing information for, participating in meetings with, or engaging in discussion with the Government in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Lunch will not be provided.� Multiple dining establishments will be in close proximity to the event as well as the potential for on-site mobile vendors.
