Description
Willow Creek Manual Juniper Removal, 333 acres Amendment 0002 is issued to answer questions received. Q1. How does the pay structure work? A1. Payment will be made when the work has been completed. We estimate that the work will take no more than two weeks so a partial payment would not be necessary. Invoices must be submitted through the IPP website (https://www.ipp.gov). Q2. What equipment are we able to use for this project? A2. Chainsaws and handsaws. No mechanized equipment (masticators, mulchers, etc) may be used. Per the SOW mechanized equipment may not be used in the project area and vehicles traveling to the work site will have to remain on existing roads. Q3. What will the government be providing in terms of flaggers, traffic control, portable restrooms? A3. The contractor will need to provide these things. The location is remote and there should not be much traffic control needed. Q4. What are the insurance requirements? A4. We are not sure what kind of insurance this is asking about. Vendors must have any unemployment or workers compensation insurance that is required by law. For vehicle or other liability insurance vendors need whatever insurance is required in the commercial marketplace for fuels reduction services. Q5. Will we be mulching on site or will they need to bring the trucks to a landfill/dump station? A5. Per the SOW felled trees are to be lopped and scattered on site. The SOW does not include mulching. Q6. What is the largest type of machinery that we would be able to use a the time of this project? A6. Chainsaws Q7. I also understand this project may interfere with hunting season as well as be slowed due to potential snow in the region during the time of the project. A7. Work must be completed by November 30, 2023 so snow should not be an issue. Hunting seasons in Colorado depend on the time period and it would be impractical for us to specify which season(s) will be in effect during every time period which the vendor may be performing services. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife website can provide information about the applicable rules https://cpw.state.co.us/aboutus/Pages/RulesRegs.aspx for the period of time that a vendor plans to perform the work. - end -
