If yes, what is the size of the top plate (W x D x H) and preferred type/material (i.e. aluminum plate, breadboard, granite block, etc)? Can you please share more information on the enclosure needing to be supplied for this project? Information on the following would be helpful: Minimum internal dimensions and maximum external dimensions Desired form factor (i.e. workstation enclosure, desktop enclosure, floor-standing enclosure) Desired access points (i.e. front door, removable side panels, etc.) If our products do not typically include installation, does your end user still want us to provide a quote for the cost to have a representative onsite to perform the installation? Government's Response: Top plate material is vendorss choice but the product needs to meet the performance specs (as stated in SOW): Load Capacity: 1,000 Lbs Isolation Technology : Piezoelectric sensors, actuators, and control electronics Force Directions : Active vibration isolation in all six degrees of freedom Required Floor Flatness: 2 millimeters per meter Isolation Characteristics: Dynamic 1 Hz to 200 Hz, Passive beyond 200 Hz Transmissibility: Above 10 Hz transmissibility <0.017 decreasing rapidly Correction Forces: Maximum 4N horizontally, 8N vertically System Noise: Less than 50nG/?Hz from 0.1 - 200Hz in any direction Static Compliance at Indenter: Less than 3.5?m/N vertically and 7?m/N horizontally Size of top plate should be 32 x 32, max is 35 x 35 Minimum internal dimensions is 30 x 30 x 33 Access is front door Must include installation, as stated in SOW _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6- STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. Background The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Engineering Laboratory (EL) Materials and Structural Systems Division (MSSD) studies the durability and service life of infrastructure materials (polymer, concrete, engineered composites) for resilience infrastructure applications. Resilience refers to the ability of a material or system to resist and recover from damage or stress. In the context of infrastructure materials, such as those used in buildings, bridges, and roads, resilience is an important property that ensures that these structures can withstand the demands of their intended use and continue to function in the face of changing environmental and operational conditions. NIST requires an anti-vibration workstation and enclosure that meets or exceeds the following minimum specifications:See the attached specification sheet.
