- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH. This RFI is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ/IFB/RFP in the future. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. In addition, respondents are advised that the United States Government is under no obligation to pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. At this time, proprietary information is not being requested, and respondents shall refrain from providing proprietary information in response to this RFI. The specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance. PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District is conducting this RFI/Sources Sought in support of Market Research to notify and seek potential qualified members of industry to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualification, to include the Small Business Community for the furnishing of all equipment, labor, materials, and transportation required for the fabrication and delivery of two (2) Transformers, one (1) Main MCC, and two (2) Control boards for Pickwick Lock; and one (1) low voltage switchgear & MCC and two (2) Panelboards into the Melton Hill Lock. No solicitation document is currently available. SCOPE: The scope of this contract is for the vendor to provide Two (2) Transformers, One (1) Main MCC, and Two (2) Control boards into the Pickwick Lock. The scope of this contract is for the vendor to provide the One (1) low voltage switchgear & MCC and Two (2) Panelboards into the Melton Hill Lock. DESCRIPTION: Pickwick Lock: The Contractor shall furnish and install a Transformer and 480-volt Main MCC Board to be replaced in Pickwick Lock. The Transformer and 480-volt Main MCC Board is located in the Operation Buildings basement.. (2) Transformer One-line diagram including transformers. Outline drawings including front elevation, section views, footprint, and overall dimensions. 3P 13.2KV � 480V 750KVA (1) Main MCC (Motor Control Center) Enclosures Unit Compartments Motor Control Center Doors and Covers Horizontal Wireways Vertical Wireways Molded Case Circuit Breakers Trip Units (2)� Control Bench Board Enclosures Unit Compartments Pumps ON/OFF Switches Miter Gates Open/Close Switches Water Height Level Indicators Melton Hill Lock: The Contractor shall furnish and install a 480-volt Auxiliary Board to be replaced in Melton Lock. The 480-volt Aux. Board is located in the Operation Buildings basement. The board is divided into two sections, Low-Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Center connected via a 600 amp fully enclosed bus as indicated in the drawings. (1) Low-Voltage Switchgear One-line diagram including breakers, fuses, current transformers, and meters. Outline drawings including front elevation, section views, footprint, and overall dimensions. (1) MCC (Motor Control Center) Enclosures Unit Compartments Motor Control Center Doors and Covers Horizontal Wireways Vertical Wireways Molded Case Circuit Breakers Trip Units (2) Panelboards Enclosures RSM 262416302750 Panelboards, 3 phase 4 wire, main circuit breaker, 277/480 V, 600 amp, 42 circuits, NEHB, incl 20 A 1 pole plug-in breakers GENERAL INFORMATION: The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 335311, Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing REQUESTED INFORMATION: Respondents interested in providing a response to this Sources Sought should submit information which clearly describes the following: Only contractors capable of supplying this type of procurement should respond to this survey.
