Description

This is a Synopsis IAW FAR 5.2 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. This procurement is restricted to those companies eligible for call orders under the Land Management Integrated Resources Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the USFS with the following agreement numbers: 12363N23A4266, 12363N23A4295, 12363N23A4346. RFQ Number: 12441923Q151 Project Title: Cultural Survey, DeSoto National Forest, MS Project Description: The Forest Service requires a cultural resource survey for support of the 1314.1-acre Clara Timber Sale Project located on the Chickasawhay Ranger District of the Desoto National Forest in the National Forests of Mississippi. The Chickasawhay Ranger District of the De Soto National Forest is proposing the Clara Timber Sale Project as commercial timber sales that will help accomplish forest restoration and wildlife management needs. Project activities in addition to operation of equipment to harvest trees may include road reconstruction (only within the project area, and no new construction is planned), construction or re-use of landings (also entirely within the project area as defined) prescribed burning, placement of Red-cockaded Woodpecker (RCW) insert boxes, First thinning, clear cuts, and the construction of wildlife food plots. Access to the project area will be via existing roads. Project Location: DeSoto National Forest, MS PSC: The primary service code is F019, Natural Resources/Conservation � Other.� � NAICS: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 115310 � Support Activities for Forestry. Delivery: The deliverables for this work will be provided to the ordering activity. The BPA is composed of small businesses. There are currently three businesses that will receive this solicitation. The Call Order shall be issued via email to those companies listed on the BPA. Any changes to the Call Order RFQ shall also be emailed to those companies listed on the BPA.
