Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to enter into a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order for a commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) software with Chesapeake Systems for their brand name (CHESA) video editing software maintenance and services support for the National Archives and Records Administration Archives II (NARA AII) located in College, Park MD.� The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), �Only One Source is Capable of Providing the Supplies or Services�, 41 U.S.C. � 3304(a)(1).� CHESA includes proprietary configurations and software that can only be supported by the owner/developer or its authorized manufacturer, Chesapeake Systems.� They �owns all rights to the sale, support and distribution of their brand name software.� The total estimated value is less than $26,000.00 (for the Base Year).� All responsible sources may submit a capacity statement, pricing data, and other information, which shows a bona fide ability to meet the requirement no later than 12:00 noon EST on August 15, 2023.� No contract award will be made on the information received in response to this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed Purchase Order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� All questions and capacity statements regarding this procurement shall be addressed to Ms. Ana D.
