Description
1. OVERVIEW Vendor to provide on-site pipette calibration, acceptability verification, and repair services, if needed, in five different locations for main facility and outpatient clinics. 2. REQUIREMENTS This certification includes visual inspection, gravimetric test, and proof of pipette passing evidenced with sticker, calibration, and 6- month calibration guarantee except for abuse or corrosion. Full service includes cleaning and polishing of all components, gravimetric retest, 6-month calibration guarantee except for abuse or corrosion. Pipettes calibrated to include a calibration certificate for each pipette every 6 months. Location of Work: Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System 60 Pipettes 400 Veterans Avenue Biloxi, MS 39531 Eglin Community Based Outpatient Clinic 27 Pipettes 100 Veterans Way Eglin AFB, FL 32542 Mobile Community Based Outpatient Clinic 17 Pipettes 1504 Springhill Mobile, AL 36604 Panama City Community Based Outpatient Clinic 34 Pipettes 2600 Veterans Way Panama City Beach, FL 32408 Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic 31 Pipettes 790 Veterans Way Pensacola, FL 32507 Specifications: Vendor shall call each location every 6 months and schedule a time to perform services that is mutually acceptable between vendor and facility. The Contractor will communicate with the Program Manager and/or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to schedule biannual pipette calibration services. Mail in services shall be made available to service pipettes between biannual visits as needed from each location. Pipettes not meeting adequate performance will be removed from service based on failure. All pipettes serviced shall have a certificate showing its final performance. All pipettes showing acceptable performance shall be stickered appropriately. The supplier will test single channel pipettes (each having a maximum capacity between 5mL and 10 uL) for accuracy of dispensing volume at their high, medium, and low volume settings to determine if they conform to the various manufacturer s specifications for accuracy, supply documentation of five as found results at each of the three settings, provide statistics (Mean, Standard Deviation, CV%, Inaccuracy) for the five determinations at the three volumes tested, provide a Pass/Fail determination of performance as found; calibrate any pipettes found to be outside of the acceptable ranges (found to Fail), and, as needed, clean parts, replace seals, and adjust the pipettes to perform within the acceptable ranges and supply documentation of five as calibrated determination test results for each of three volumes representing high, medium, and low volume settings with the same statistics (as stated above for the as found determinations) and provide a certified Pass result. The supplier will test multi-channel pipettes for five determinations at each of three volumes at their high, medium, and low volume settings to determine if they conform to the various manufacturer s specifications for accuracy, supply documentation of five as found results at each of the three settings, provide statistics (Mean, Standard Deviation, CV%, Inaccuracy) for the five determinations at the three volumes tested, provide a Pass/Fail determination of performance as found; calibrate any pipettes found to be outside of the acceptable ranges (found to Fail), and, as needed, clean parts, replace seals, and adjust the pipettes to perform within the acceptable ranges and supply documentation of five as calibrated determination test results for each of three volumes representing high, medium, and low volume settings with the same statistics (as stated above for the as found determinations) and provide a certified Pass result. Any additional needed parts beyond seals will be at additional cost. General Information: The VA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of pipettes at each location to ensure the Department of Veterans Affairs Mission is met. The VA reserves the right to add, remove, or change clinic locations for the pipette services within the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System as deemed necessary to fulfill the Mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
