Description
VBA Responses to Request For Information (RFI) Received 8-14-2023 Is cleaning of the building membrane roof included in the Statement of Work? Reply: Per SOW, This is an all-Inclusive building and parking garage maintenance contract. The roof is a part of the building and therefore inclusive. Please verify the Government will have all of the containers and dumpster(s) cleared from the dumpster pad and loading dock area prior to cleaning? Reply: All plastic garbage receptacles will be removed prior to cleaning. Arrangements will have to be made with container contractors prior to cleaning of the pad. Are concrete roads and driveways around the Regional Office Building (east side of building) included in the Statement of Work? Reply: Per Section V. Regional Office Building: number 2, Pressure was concrete walkways around the office building, exposed building boarder, concrete aggregate. Roads and driveways not identified. Are stairwells of the Parking Garage included in the Statement of Work? Reply: Per Section V. Regional Office Parking Garage, numbers 2-6, Pressure wash garage lower-level floor and ceiling to kill growth. Surface clean garage floors to remove build up grime. The concrete stairwells are a part of each level and will require cleaning. Will the adjacent parking area north of the Parking Garage be closed (or partially closed) during cleaning of the Garage? Reply: The VA will make the necessary arrangements to reduce the chances of damage to employee vehicles/ property. Will the Garage be completely closed for parking during cleaning? Estimated cleaning time is 3 weeks. Reply: It is the intent of the VA to minimize inconvenience to its employees through the scheduling of temporary closures of only the areas affected at the time of cleaning. Can cleaning of the Garage be conducted at separate time than the cleaning of the Regional Office Building? Reply: The order of cleaning operations is solely at the discretion of the contractor. The contractor will need to inform the COR of their intent so proper preparations and arrangements can be made. Can cleaning be scheduled after normal hours or on weekends to prevent conflict with traffic and users? Reply: Any proposed deviation from the operational hours noted on the SOW will have to be approved by the Director of the RO.
