This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIH-NIAID-23-2183181 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-04 June 2, 2023. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325414, Biological Product (Except Diagnostic) Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1250 employees. The requirement is being competed with a brand name restriction, and with a small business set-aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement for the following Brand Name Supplies: Library Construction Kit, 16 rxns, product code 1000190, quantity 1 Chromium Next GEM Single Cell 5' Kit v2, 16 rxns, product code 1000263, quantity 1 Library Construction Kit, 48 rxns, product code 1000252, quantity 2 Chromium Next GEM Single Cell Multiome ATAC+Gene Expression Reagent Bundle, 4 rxns, product code 1000285, quantity 1 Chromium Next GEM Chip K Single Cell Kit, 48 rxns, product code 1000286, quantity 1 Single Index Kit N Set A, 96 rxn, product code 1000212, quantity 1 Chromium Next GEM Chip J Single Cell Kit, 16 rxns, product code 1000230, quantity 1 Shipping and handling estimate, quantity 1 The LHIM is seeking the acquisition of 10X Genomics reagents. LHIM uses cell culture, animal models of disease, and cellular and molecular biology techniques. The use of RNAseq technologies are a powerful tool to understand the changes in gene expression over time, but currently, this is done in one reaction so that you cant ascribe the signaling to one cell or another. Many of LHIMs projects require single cell RNAseq experiments to evaluate changes in the transcriptome of diverse cell populations. The 10X Genomics Chromium Single Cell reagents allow you to separate and label single cells so that now the gene expression profiles can be connected to one cell. This is powerful new technology that then gives you information as to the identity of the cell, whether it is directly infected, and what its gene expression profiles are. This exclusive technology requires reagents available solely through 10X Genomics. It is also needed to keep continuity of data across experiments. This is vital to research. Place of Performance: NIH, NIAID, LHIM, 4 Memorial Drive, Building 4, Bethesda, MD 20892, United States. FOB: Destination The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor as a result of this RFQ that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. The award will be based on the following: technical capability to meet the requirements and price.
