- Description
- The Acquisition Management Division (AMD) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure a high speed Lockin Serov under a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items (FAR Parts 12 and 13).� The Mass and Force Group, in the Quantum Measurement Division, Physical Measurement Lab, develops photonic calibration methods and sensors for acoustics, vibration and force.�� To enable accurate readout of the cavity-based photonic systems, laser locking is used which requires lock-in detection and high-speed servo control of a laser frequency.� � The system shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements identified below. All items must be new.� Used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered for award. Experimental, prototype items will not be considered.� The use of �gray market� components not authorized for sale in the U.S. by the proposer is not acceptable.�� All line items shall be shipped in the original manufacturer�s packaging and include all original documentation and software, when applicable.��� The required high speed Lockin Serov must meet the following technical specifications:� At least 4 Analog inputs with a Bandwidth of at least 300 MHz�� Sampling rate of at least 1 GSa/s per channel� ADC Resolution at least 10-bit but 16 bit or higher�� Maximum voltage range 40 Vpp� Input Impedance 50 ? or 1 M?� Input coupling AC or DC� Input voltage noise less than 50 nV?Hz at 100 Hz� At least 4 analog outputs channels�� Output bandwidth at least 100 MHz with at least +/- 5 volts� Output sampling rate of at least 1 GSa/s per channel� Output resolution at least 16-bit� Output Voltage Range at least 10 Vpp into 50 ?� Must have capability of operating in the following configurations:� Arbitrary Waveform Generator�� Data Logger�� Digital Filter Box�� Frequency Response Analyzer�� Laser Lock Box�� Lock-in Amplifier�� Oscilloscope�� Phasemeter�� PID Controller�� Spectrum Analyzer�� Waveform Generator� With the ability to operate up to 4 configurations at a time� Software control via USB or WiFi� Must be lockable to 10 MHz reference.�� Market research was conducted and the only system able to meet all the specifications provided above is the system manufactured by Liquid Instruments.��� The North American Industry Classification code for this acquisition is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals 750 employees.����� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.� This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; however, all responsible sources interested may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirements listed above must identify their capability in writing before the response date of this notice.
