Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Time and Frequency Division, Magnetic Imaging Group (MIG) intends to negotiate with Terra Universal, Inc. (Cage: 66054), located in Fullerton, CA on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106(b), soliciting from a single source, to purchase a Modular Cleanroom. The MIG requires a cleanroom with particular requirements based on (i) the size of the room into which it must fit� (the entire system must be less than 9'6"" high), (ii) the chemicals/solvents that will be use within it� (the cleanroom walls must be resistant to common solvents),� (iii) the microscale devices that will be used within it which requires antistatic or static dissipating cleanroom walls,� and (iv) safety, which requires that the cleanroom come with a fire suppression sprinkler head in its ceiling. The NAICS Code is 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing, with a small business standard of 500 employees. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to Terra Universal for this requirement. Interested parties that can demonstrate they could satisfy the requirement listed above for NIST must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used, it is estimated that an award will be issued by September 5, 2023.
