- THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE ONLY.��THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Air Traffic Control (ATC) Future Technologies (AFT) AFLCMC/HBAG at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA seeks to announce to industry the intent to award zero or more Fixed Amount Prototype OTAs for a Multi-Band Multifunction Tactical Radar System (MB-MTRS) System Design and Prototype Development effort under the authority of 10 U.S. Code � 4022.� AFLCMC/HBAG has allocated a $2M budget for Phase I. The intent is to award two $1M OTAs to separate vendors for Phase I, ""Initial System Design"".� The attached is a DRAFT version of a problem statement requesting proposals for a Multi-Band Multi- Functional Tactical Radar System (MB-MTRS).� This special notice is issued for the purpose of making industry aware of the Government's intent and does not constitute a request for proposal. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding upon the government. No reimbursement will be made of any costs to provide information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced under a separate announcement.� This special notice is for information and planning purposes only�and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.� The Air Force is making this special announcement ahead of a Request for Proposal Release that will be released in the coming months. The Air Force is accepting all comments concerning the wording or questions concerning the specifications of the problem statements.
