- The contractor shall furnish all the necessary personnel, material, and equipment pertaining to the renovations for this facility (except as otherwise specified) to complete this project stated in the Statement of Work to a satisfactory state for the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR).� This contract will be performed at the following National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office (WFO) location: MLB WFO MELBOURNE 421 Croton Road Melbourne, Fl 32935 The following will be required: Restrooms � Men and Women������������ ��� Remove and replace restroom stall hardware & wall partitions, for each restroom with new solid plastic wall partitions. Replace 2 ea. counter vanities with new sinks and faucets. Counter top and side border colors to match Kitchen � Employee Breakroom. Clean and paint steel cleanout boxes. Clean and prep walls for painting. Install 2 ea toilets and 1 ea urinal which are ADA-compliant, Elongated toilets 17-19� seat height models.� Urinals also have ADA requirement of 13.5� min. depth and 17� max. rim height above FF. Prep and paint all walls, and door jambs using two coats of interior Satin paint. Color will be decided later. Clean floor and grout joints and seal tile floor. 2. Kitchen � Employee Breakroom. Clean, prime and paint metal lockers Remove all cabinets, countertops, sink and faucet. Install new custom wood cabinets. Configuration to be determined. Install new quartz countertops. Install new backsplash behind sink. Install new LED under counter lights, over sink and counter. Install new matching 16� shelf type wall bar on wall opposite of door. Install new stainless sink and faucet. Remove existing wall covering. Seal, prime and apply two coats of paint to walls, jambs, doors and ceiling. Colors decided later. Install new ceramic tile and ceramic baseboard. Clean floor and grout joints and seal tile floor. All colors and styles including flooring, counter top, paint, and sink to be selected by NWS WFO Staff. Contractors will submit their project estimate, GSA Contract Number, DUNS Number, billing address, phone and fax numbers on their bid sheet and send those to the National Weather Service representative.� The National Weather Service is a Federal Agency and is Tax Exempt. Prime and Painting Interior Surfaces For new sheetrock surfaces, one coat of primer prior to two coats of high-quality interior satin, or equivalent sheen paint is required. Texture may be needed and matching texture on pre-existing walls as required. Preparation of surfaces includes substrate cosmetic repairs, existing coating preparation and treatments such as filling in nail holes, filling minor cracks, wire brushing rust spots, scraping existing coating where peeling, de-glossing, treating stained and mildewed areas. For pre-existing sheetrock surfaces one coat of high-quality interior satin, or equivalent sheen paint is required.� Two coats are optional and must be defined by the COTR.� Preparation of surfaces includes substrate cosmetic repairs, existing coating preparation and treatments such as filling in nail holes, filling minor cracks, wire brushing rust spots, scraping existing coating where peeling, de-glossing, treating stained and mildewed areas. Low VOC paints and materials must be used on this project. Additional preparation includes protection of existing surfaces not to be coated.� Contractor will provide false walls of plastic to protect the equipment and the desktops that are in the area.� Personnel and equipment must be protected from dust and fumes as much as possible.� All furniture removal for this project will be completed by the contractor. The contractor will supply a choice of paint and/or stain samples for the local office to select color preference.� Contractor will remove all trash from site.� Contractor shall follow government labor rates. Contractors can visit the project site in order to give an accurate bid. Project Warranty � Paint and/or stain should be of high quality with a minimum manufactures warranty of 5 years.� Contractor shall guarantee their work to NWS for a period of 1 year. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT FOR EVALUATION CRITERIA, PICTURES, RELATED CLAUSES AND SPECIFICATIONS. PLEASE CONFIRM YOU CAN PERFORM THE WORK IN THE SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD.� SITE VISIT INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CONSULT THIS DOCUMENT REGARDING SITE VISIT INFORMATION. PLEASE DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS TO THE ONSITE PERSON DURING THE SITE VISIT.
