- DLA ANTICIPATE ISSUING AN SOILICITATION FOR� 4240-01-686-2486 MASK,CHEMICAL-BIOLO RA001: THIS DOCUMENT INCORPORATES TECHNICAL AND/OR QUALITY REQUIREMENTS (IDENTIFIED BY AN 'R' OR AN 'I' NUMBER) SET FORTH IN FULL TEXT IN THE DLA MASTER LIST OF TECHNICAL AND QUALITY REQUIREMENTS FOUND ON THE WEB AT: http://www.dla.mil/HQ/Acquisition/Offers/eProcurement.aspx NOTE: THE CITED DRAWING IS A SOURCE CONTROLLED DRAWING AND AS OF THE DATE OF THIS SOLICITATION ONLY THE SOURCE(S) CITED ON THE DRAWING HAVE BEEN APPROVED. ALSO, MAY INCLUDE ADDITIONAL APPROVED SOURCES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN REFLECTED ON THE DRAWING AT THIS TIME. RQ003: CONFIGURATION CHANGE MANAGEMENT FOR EDGEWOOD FOR CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL CENTER MATERIALS - ENGINEERING CHANGE PROPOSAL REQUEST FOR VARIANCE (DEVIATION OR WAIVER) CLASS I OZONE DEPLETING CHEMICALS ARE NOT TO BE USED NOR INCORPORATED IN ANY ITEMS TO BE DELIVERED UNDER THIS CONTRACT.THIS PROHIBITION SUPERSEDES ALL SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS BUT DOES NOT ALLEVIATE ANY PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS. SUBSTITUTE CHEMICALS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL UNLESS THEY ARE AUTHORIZED BY THE SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. RQ039: Non-Tailored Higher-Level Quality Requirements (SAE AS9100) for Manufacturers and Non-Manufacturers RD002, COVERED DEFENSE INFORMATION APPLIES This is an identified Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (CCDC-CBC), formerly known as Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center (ECBC), item. All Requests for Variance (waivers or deviations), both pre and post award, must be approved by the CCDC-CBC, Army ESA, SICA BG, prior to final approval. All packaged items of supply shall be marked IAW MIL-STD-129. No shelf life markings are required. Government Furnished Property (GFP) There is no GFP on this contract. The standard is available at no cost, but free registration on the site is required to obtain the document. SPECIAL MARKING CODE:00 -00 No special marking PALLETIZATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH RP001: DLA PACKAGING �REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCUREMENT Unitization: Shipments of identical items going to the same destination shall be palletized if they have a total cubic displacement of 50 cubic feet or more unless skids or other forklift handling features are included on the containers. Pallet loads must be stable, and to the greatest extent possible, provide a level top for ease of stacking. A palletized load shall be of a size to allow for placement of two loads high and wide in a conveyance. The weight capacity of the pallet must Packaging Text be adequate for the load. The pallet is a 40 x 48 inch, 4-way entry pallet although variations may be permitted as dictated by the characteristics of the items being unitized. All variations must be approved by the Contracting Office prior to implementation. The load shall be contained in a manner that will permit safe handling during shipment and storage. Packaging shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1 and have successfully passed test levels of ASTM D 4169, Distribution Cycle 18, Assurance Level II, Acceptance Criterion 3, Military packing Level B . The warehouse stacking height shall be 16 ft. The shipping unit shall be the unit pack. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. �Testing shall be witnessed by the Government Quality Assurance Representative. Packaged gross weight and size shall be included on the test report as well as a detailed description of the packaging. The Contractor is exempted from testing if other data can be provided (see para. 5.6 of MIL-STD-2073-1) and is acceptable to the Government. �Similar items do not require retesting. -PLACE A RED X AND THE WORDS �SHORT BOX� ON THE FRONT OF ANY BOX THAT HAS A SHORT QUANTITY, THEN PLACE THAT BOX/BOXES WITH THE MARKINGS SHOWING ON THE TOP FRONT OF THE PALLET LOAD.
