LTC is the only source capable of providing the required A-LVDT components that meet the form, fit, and function with the existing USAYPG A-LVDT. This requirement for the Accessory-LVDT (A-LVDT) components are in support of existing equipment that was previously purchased under contracts W9124R22P0009 and W9124R22P0026. This new acquisition acquired under this purchase must be form, fit, function, and software compatible and interact with existing LTC laser- based inspection systems located at USAYPG. If this new acquisition was acquired from any other source, USAYPG would be forced to procure a new 155mm full turn-keyed laser tube measurement and inspection system, which would result in a waste of over a hundred thousand dollars in investment, plus loss of the existing capability of current equipment. This requirement will be procured using the acquisition procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing with a size standard of 600 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to meet these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements no later than 08:00 AM MST on 28 August 2023 to monica.j.gehrer.civ@mail.mil.
