No solicitation is currently available at this time Statement of Work 1. Requester: ST- VAMC Research Dr. Abhinav Diwan 2. Equipment: Freezer We are requesting to purchase a -86 freezer for the lab from funds that were initially budgeted in my MERIT grant proposal. The facility currently has access to an aging -80 freezer at the primary site which is not on emergency backup power as it is a 220V specification. This puts the samples stored therein at peril during power outages- both planned and unplanned. We need a -80 freezer that is functional at 110V. This is because the only emergency power available to us in our lab space is a 110V socket, and the -86 samples are precious and can be degraded even with short periods of power loss with a change in temperature by as little as 10 degrees. We currently have one freezer that is ~10years old and is overloaded as we are running out of space. Besides this freezer operates at 220V and we have a backup CO2 tank that we have to rely upon in case of power failure. This is not a fail-safe mechanism to protect the precious research tissue samples. 3. Technical Specifications: Freezer: The specific details on the freezer we are requesting are as follows: 1) We wish to obtain an upright -86°C ultralow freezer 2) Size 25.7 cubic feet with vacuum insulation panel, which operates at 115V/60Hz 3) Eye level microprocessor controls, and reusable accessible filter with temperature alarm are preferred. Preferred color is the standard gray/any light color. 4) We wish to have -84 ºC Operation in Top Compartment, with fast Recovery after door openings 5) Temperature uniformity of +/- 5 degrees is preferred 6) We need 2 insulated inner doors w/ SS latches and locking mechanism and 3 adjustable reinforced SS Shelves 7) Other preferences are for an environmental friendly design with less than 49 decibel operation (quiet). 8) We wish to have at least 24 months parts & labor warranty
